What We Are Learning
Reading:
·       Long and Short vowel sounds
·       How to flip the sound in a word

Word Work:
·       Sight words: play, thing, zoo, nice, ride
·       Word Family : ay
·       Beginning Blends: cr, dr,

Writing: Narrative Books
·       Using a checklist to make sure our stories have a beginning, two events, transition words, and an ending
Math:
·       Using double facts to solve doubles +1 & doubles +2 problems
·       Making a 10 to add number to 20

Science:
·       Sources of heat
·       Firefighters came to visit
Fall Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences will be October 28th & 29th. I sent home information and a signup sheet in your child’s take home folder this week. The times are on a first come, first serve basis, so please return your time preferences as soon as you can.

Thursday-Support red ribbon week. Wear red day.

Friday- These paws don’t touch drugs. Wear your tiger gear.

Fall Conferences

Little Debbie Snacks
We still need LOTS of little Debbie cakes for our Cake Walk at the Fall Carnival! Please feel free to send in as many as you can! Thank you!!!
Pumpkin Carving
This year will mark the second pumpkin carving competition
at the WOHE Fall Festival!  Please join us as we create a pumpkin patch created by our WOHE families!

To participate, simply carve a pumpkin at home and bring it to WOHE Friday, October 18th for display at the Fall Festival. Pumpkin entries can arrive after 6:00 p.m. The anonymous judging will be held that evening with final results being announced at 7:00 p.m.
